Description
Every watch has a story. This watch was sold to me by the grandson of the owner. His granddad left him the watch in his will. The grandson had to sell it to fund his tuition this semester for business school (Ivy at Western University, London, ON). This is a 36mm stainless steel 1970 Rolex Datejust having a white gold bezel. We left this watch original as possible. There is a tiny crack in the bezel, but my Rolex approved watchmaker was still able to make this watch water resistant. If you really wanted, many bezels are on eBay for these, but I would keep it as-is. My watchmaker thoroughly (and expensively) serviced this movement and replaced some costly Rolex parts to ensure this Datejust will tick accurately for another generation. The original dial and hands are still present and look very good. The original circa 1970 Rolex Jubilee bracelet looks extremely good and not sloppy, considering the age of the watch. The steel Rolex case is well-preserved and is without any major dings or scratches. You could buy a very fine Rolex Datejust with its existence helping to educate a future generation. You could wear this very reliable vintage Rolex for a lifetime… and then pass it on for others to enjoy. We have priced this watch very well.
