This is just such a spectacular vintage Omega dating to 1957. Look at the original waffle 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 dial on this Omega! This two-tone dial has such a lovely and even patina and retains the original Dauphine hands – wow! The Omega winding crown is present. The 34.5mm original stainless steel screw-back is what we call in the watch world a “tropical case,” meaning the back is steel as opposed to matching the gold-capped case. The reason was that sweat would break down the gold layer in tropical climates, and stainless steel against the skin is more robust to avoid wear. The very fine and gilded caliber 501 automatic winding movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. This vintage Omega is a prime example.
