This is a competitive sailor’s watch known as the Aquastar Regate or “Regatta” chronograph, which provided the user with a countdown timer for a departure of their yacht within five minutes. The disc is turning by the second, each disk representing one out of five minutes. In this case, the dial indicates that there are approximately 2:25 minutes to go before the boat should cross the starting line. The 37.5mm screw-back case is in very fine shape. The rotor, automatic winding movement is accurate. Often, we see refinished dials on these watches. This dial is original and very fine. The winding crown is original and signed.
