1970s Sicura Chrono Computer

Description

This new-old-stock 1970s 47mm Sicura Chrono Computer is actually made by Breitling and houses the EB8800 manual winding movement. There are four crowns on this watch. One is for setting time, one is for resetting the minute counter, one is for rotating the quarter-hour ring/bezel, and one is for rotating the five-minute ring/bezel. The centre orange chronograph hand counts minutes instead of seconds, making it a very practical and easy-to-read watch for timing events. There is also a turning, complicated slide-rule bezel in amazing condition. We just had the manual winding movement cleaned and it is accurate. When setting time, the second hand will trace along at the same time. Simply reset it to 12:00 with the upper pusher. Any tiny marks on the bezel are just from age, storage, and handling over the years. We found this example from a jeweler’s old unsold stock. It is very uncommon to find a watch like this in such fine and unused condition!
