Description
This 1970 vintage Omega Constellation is an uncommon version from the Japanese market. The stainless steel screw-observatory-back case measures 33.5mm across and 39mm lug-to-lug. This less common pewter dial is original and without blemishes. The hands are black and needle-thin, matching the black inset steel markers. This vintage Omega has a quick-set date feature. Notice the uncommon “CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” writing towards the lower part of the dial instead of normally finding it below 12:00. The correct Omega winding crown is installed, as is the Omega-signed hesalite crystal. The caliber 1001 movement is accurate after a recent cleaning. This watch gleams.
