1966 Favre-Leuba Bathy 50

Description

This is an extremely rare 1966 Favre-Leuba Bathy 50 having a rare metres-rated dial, instead of the usual and (still rare) feet-rating model. This massive steel case was recently restored by one of the finest case restorers in the world – it shines like a mirror! This gigantic case measures 43.3×48.4×15.5mm thick. This is a professionally designed tool watch – the first of its kind able to register diving depths accurately up to 45m. This watch was meticulously cleaned, with the depth gauge operating. The original screw-down winding crown and sapphire crystal are present. Most importantly, this incredibly rare example is one of the few in existence having its original papers! Favre-Leuba is one of the world’s oldest watch companies.
