Description
This is a very fine circa 1964 Vacheron Constantin Geneve ref. 6115 18k solid-gold ‘extra-flat’ watch. This is still one of the thinnest mechanical wrist watches available. Measuring only 1.64mm thin, this movement still holds the record. Vacheron recently re-launched this movement in 2010, celebrating the movement’s 55th anniversary and called the watch the “Historique Ultra-Fine Watch.” This caliber 1003 manual winding, rhodium-plated Vacheron movement is adjusted to five position, was just cleaned, and is accurate. The 18k solid-gold case is in very fine condition overall. This dial was expertly restored, while maintaining the original gold, needle-thin markers and hands. The slight mark on the dial between 2:00 and 3:00 is very light and barely visible with the naked eye. This Vacheron Constantin Geneve is as sleek and sophisticated as it gets!
