Description
Back many years ago, we found ourselves finding and selling dozens of Tudors such as this. Good luck finding them now! We decided to nickname these very fine-looking watches the “Tudor Tuxedo.” many years ago. The name has stuck ever since. This 34mm stainless steel 1955 version is among the earliest examples, with its original Explorer-style dial and Dauphine hands. I do love the patina. In person, this dial appears more subtly aged. The caliber 390 automatic movement was not cleaned by us, but is keeping accurate time. The case is remarkably preserved, with its lyre lugs and original rare Brevet (cross logo) Rolex crown. What can I say, I love these Tudor Tuxedos.
