1954 Tudor Tuxedo Prince

Description

This 34.5mm circa 1954 Tudor Oyster Prince is a very early version of the “Tudor Tuxedo” (a name we coined many years ago). The dial and hands are all original. Many decades ago it appears the owner inscribed a light decoration on the bezel which could be polished if desired. The caliber 390 automatic winding movement is the same Tudor (by Rolex) movement used in the very valuable Tudor Submariners at the time. This movement was just fully cleaned and is running accurately. It is so rare to find these watches with their early Oyster-patented winding crown, and this one is still present.
