Description
Here is an uncommon, vintage 1954 Omega Century. These watches were produced by Omega for a short time. They always utilized the fine-quality caliber-200-series movements, with this being the caliber 266 manual winding, which was just cleaned, overhauled, and is accurate. The honeycomb dial with original gold-toned Arabic numerals and arrow markers was expertly restored and retains the original Dauphine hands and sub-seconds. The gold-filled case is a contract case made by Star Watch Case Company (as these always are). These Omega century watches were produced for the Canadian market. In order to circumvent import duties, Omega had Star watch company produce cases in North America.
