Description
This 1950s Vacheron Constantin is really a very fine watch! The 18k Vacheron-signed solid-rose-gold case with teardrop lugs is crisp and clean without any dings or scratches. This 18k rose-gold case appears quite large on the wrist due to the lack of bezel. It measures 34.5mm across and 42mm lug-lug. The champagne dial was expertly restored while retaining the original raised gold Roman numerals and gold dot markers. The print is crisp and all perfectly printed (the crystal blurs a couple of the letters in my pictures). There is a very tiny convex ding in the dial between 7:00-8:00, which is not detracting and barely noticeable. The very fine Vacheron Constantin manual winding movement was just meticulously cleaned by our watchmaker and is accurate. I believe Vacheron Constantin watches are undervalued and their day will come as more collectors discover their excellence and true value at today’s prices. We purchased this from the estate of the original owner.
