Description
It is one thing to find a LeCoultre, however, finding the dial signed Jaeger-LeCoultre is much less common. Jaeger-LeCoultre-signed dials denote that the watch was produced in Europe, as opposed to LeCoultre-signed watches, which were cased in the USA. These Jaeger-dialed watches are more valuable and highly sought-after. This particular Jaeger-LeCoultre automatic is known as the Powermatic, with its hours-remaining power-reserve aperture below 12:00. This dial is simply sublime, being all original and having splendid, original matching lume on both dial and steel diamond hands. The bumper automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre movement was recently cleaned and is accurate. The steel case has never been polished and retains the original finish – another factor lending to the quality of this watch. The ding on the case edge is really not noticeable in person and is amplified in my photo. The screw-back steel case measures 33.5mm. The original family who owned this watch stored it in a safe and it was unused for many years.
