Description
This is a very uncommon Omega Seamaster chronometer-grade watch in stainless steel dating to 1950. This watch predates the Omega Constellation and uses the early caliber 352 bumper hammer automatic movement that is adjusted to five positions and has achieved chronometer standards (just like the Constellation that came later). The movement has been meticulously cleaned and is accurate. I have never owned an earlier version of this chronometer-grade Seamaster – this might be the first year of production of this uncommon variation. The 34mm stainless steel case displays very fine condition with original notched Omega winding crown. The original dial is truly remarkable with raised steel arrow markers, Omega emblem, reflective Arabic numerals, and Dauphine hands with sweep seconds. This entire watch is a collector’s dream, being all original and very rare to find. This particular watch was produced for a very short time and is a staple for any true Omega watch collector.
