Description
This is a very uncommon first version of the Rolex Oyster Air-King Precision from 1946. Yes, this is the first year the Air-King was produced and was a manual winding watch when introduced, known as the ref. 4365. This movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. The case is a slightly smaller size than the usual automatic Air-King, measuring 33mm across. This extremely rare dial is completely original, as are the blued steel hands and sub-seconds. Notice the wonderful art-deco-style numerals. I really must stress that original examples of this watch appear very rarely.
