Description
This vintage 1927 18k white-gold art-deco ladies Rolex is a real prize! The dial is original and looks truly fantastic. It is possible that the wording “ROLEX” was added to the dial at some time as these Rolex watches had unsigned dials. These blued steel hands are original to the watch. You really have to appreciate the fine and heavy solid-white-gold case with handcarved filigree – all crisp and unpolished. Even the original cotton-fabric band is pristine and retains its original and decorated, signed 18k white-gold matching fastener that can be adjusted to fit any wrist! The original glass crystal is pristine as well. This watch retains its original (unsigned) box. Evidently, the previous owner barely wore this watch and has spent its life tucked away in a drawer. The fine 15-jewel manual winding Rolex movement is very accurately keeping time after a recent cleaning by our Rolex watchmaker. This is truly one of the cleanest, early examples of a Rolex we’ve ever acquired!
