Vintage Electric Watches including Tuning fork and Hamilton Electric, LED watches, including Bulova Accutron.
The
first few watches on this page are part
of a vast collection of rare and fine
HAMILTON ELECTRIC watches we recently
obtained. These examples are superb!
We owe the invention of the "button
watch battery" in 1952 to the inventors
of the first electric watches (made
by HAMILTON). These; being the FIRST
electric watches ever produced, are
an extremely important contribution
to watchmaking and historically, are
quite notable as being one of the milestone
inventions of the 20th. century.

This is an uncommon AQUADIVE Time-Depth vintage 1973 Electro-mechanical watch having a mechanical DEPTH GUAGE built in! The depth gauge operates with an opening at 12:00 allowing water to enter a sealed, oil filled copper tube which transmits the reading to the orange hand with great accuracy. This is a professional "tool watch", so, its construction is something to marvel! The watch is HUGE-measuring 46.5x53mm and 18.5mm. thick with mineral glass (scratchless) original crystal. The crown is original screw-down and the bezel is a diver's, professional, uni-directional type. The Band we installed is a very heavy silicone rubber with steel accents (24mm.) The entire watch and band weigh a whopping 303 grams! The movement is electro-mechanical (part electric-part mechanical) reliable and fine HIGH FREQUENCY electronic Benrus (Dynatron) 1970's which has just been cleaned and keeping time. This is one huge chunk of stainless steel on the wrist-and very cool! WE are including the ORIGINAL magazine ad from 1973 that is suitable for framing. O ten, the depth gauges on these watches are NOT working due to watchmakers removing the tube. This one was tested with a pressure tester and is functioning. Because this is a vintage watch, DO NOT swim or submerge this piece. Due to its age, water resistance cannot be guaranteed. This example is priced VERY WELL! Only $1995.

This is a vintage 1965 (extremely rare) vintage HAMILTON known as the ACCUMATIC. While the watch looks pretty much exactly like a Regulus it is
not. In 1965 Hamilton offered a watch known as the Accumatic A-504. It is
quite a bit rarer than its electric cousin, having been made only in 1965
and essentially made from unsold Regulus cases. As there were only 2400
Regulus' made, we can only speculate how many of the A-504's were made:
probably just a fraction of that amount. While we have had several Regulus'
over the years, this is the first Accumatic A-504 that we have seen. Our Rolex trained watchmaker has just cleaned and adjusted the Hamilton
caliber 689 automatic winding (not electric) movement and the watch is keeping good vintage time.
The dial is still original, and only exhibits a little patina of age. The
watch also has a very "period" expansion bracelet with a calendar. If you are seeking a very RARE HAMILTON-you just found it. $1795.

T his is a very rare variety of HAMILTON ELECTRIC watches known as the HUGUENIN; measuring 35mm. across with exotic lightning bolt, original dial and interesting steel hands. The vast majority of HAMILTON ELECTRIC watches used their own movement; however, this HAMILTON used the very accurate LANDERON 4750 which, because of the installation of a diode, stopped the arcing of the contacts, which was a major issue with HAMILTON's own movements. This watch was expertly serviced by Paul Wirdnam in Sept. 2009. This is a fabulous looking 1960's watch! We are pricing this very well at only $695!

This
is considered the rarest and
most sought after of ALL the HAMILTON ELECTRICS. Known as
the "ALTAIR; it was produced in 1961 with an estimated
production of only 1600 pieces. This watch is in very fine
shape for its age. There is usually a bit of twisting damage
to the lugs where the bracelet connects to the case. The lugs are NOT bent-it is without any damage! This is a well known fact amongst
collectors who seek this watch and is documented in Rene Rondeau's
HAMILTON ELECTRIC reference book. Speaking of RENE RONDEAU;
this watch was fully serviced by him in JULY 2009. The caliber
505 HAMILTON ELECTRIC movement is quite accurate. The case is quite striking and modern in its design;
which was certainly far ahead of its time. There is only
minor wear on the highpoints of the buckle area of the
bracelet that is ONLY visible in the pictures and not with the naked eye. The case condition is stellar! It is uncommon to
find these watches with their original and un-touched dial
and hands such as this. Also, just finding the original bracelet
on these watches is also EXTREMELY rare. This circa 1961 HAMILTON
also retains its' original winding crown. The ORIGINAL box is included with this rarity. This is simply the
hardest of all the HAMILTON ELECTRICS to locate. We don't know of a better example available anywhere in the world! Bankwire please.

Here is a 1961 HAMILTON ELECTRIC PACER with
the 505 movement that was overhauled by British electric watch guru Paul Wirdnam in September 2009. The eccentric 31.4x45mm. yellow gold filled case with white gold
filled lugs is in original condition and is VERY clean! The black dial was restored at some time in the pas and looks very clean. The gold tone Dauphine, pitched
hands and sweep seconds are original.
This watch retains its original HAMILTON crown. Overall, this vintage (perfectly functioning and overhauled) Hamilton Electric pacer is great value at only $1050.

Here
is a 1930's, 25x41.5mm, very uncommon and important (Historically)
automatic winding MARS WIG-WAG. Automatic wristwatches were
introduced in 1929 by Harwood. Many of the mechanisms from the
early 1930s, such as those produced by Rolls, Wig-Wag, Autowrist
and Wyler were amongst the first in the step towards the "ideal"
automatic winding movement. The first automatic watches had
their limitations; but the Wig-Wag seemed to work smoothly and
functioned somewhat reliably over the years. This watch retains
its' original dial; with raised gold coloured markers and matching
hands. The mars movement slides on rails up and down and is
functioning perfectly. The top of the case opens, to reveal
the crown allowing for the time setting. The nickel case was
restored to perfection! The Wig-Wag is a larger than average
rectangular watch; so, it looks imposing and attractive on the
wrist! We have priced this important watch very well at only
$2695.
