The rare 1950's GLYCINE AIRMAN vintage military watch was used in Vietnam; popular amongst military servicemen and pilots everywhere during the 1950's-70's due to the bold and easy to read 24 hour dial. These dials display both 24 hour time and conventional time at the same time! This example is spectacular overall...all original, including the black dial with military hands (excellent condition) having the original bubble date crystal displaying early and rarer 1950's red date. The lower crown locks the rotating bezel. The entire case is in stellar condition with no major dings or scratches. The automatic winding, signed GLYCINE FELSA 692 movement was recently cleaned and is keeping time very well! The FELSA 692 was the first movement used from 1950-60. This movement was fully serviced at the GLYCINE service center with receipt in our pictures and included in the sale. These watches are very hard to find...quite collectable... and uncommon in this all original condition! Please note; many are not aware, GLYCINE AIRMAN watches have a hacking seconds feature. When the crown is pulled out a hollow tube shoots up a microscopic wire at 12:00 stopping the second hand when it reaches 12:00! This hacking seconds feature is working perfectly! Please also note. PARTS TO FIX SECOND STOP ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE...they sold out. Due to the desirability of the GLYCINE AIRMAN, there are FAKES out there...we know the difference...many are getting scammed...be careful...especially on eBay! This is a prime all correct and original example of a 1950's GLYCINE Airman with hacking seconds! $1995.

The GLYCINE AIRMAN vintage military watch was used in Vietnam; popular amongst military servicemen and pilots everywhere in the 1950's onward, due to the bold and easy to read 24 hour dial. These dials display both 24 hour time and conventional time at the same time! This example is spectacular overall...all original, including the pristine black dial with military hands (excellent condition) having the original bubble date crystal. This dial is one of the finest we have seen! *Please note...scratches on the crystal shown in picture have been removed. The lower crown locks the rotating bezel. The entire case is in fine condition with no major dings or scratches; only normal nicks from regular use and (usual) wear on the caseback, but readable with a loupe. The automatic winding, signed GLYCINE movement was recently cleaned and authenticated by FALCON WATCH COMPANY in 2008 (receipt attached) and is keeping time very well! This later version of the airman features hacking seconds when the crown is pulled out. Also, the quickset date feature is also present on this circa 1975 version! Due to the desirability of the GLYCINE AIRMAN, there are FAKES out there...we know the difference...many are getting scammed...be careful...especially on eBay! This is a prime all correct and original example of a 1970's GLYCINE Airman with the original GLYCINE band and service receipt! To add to this; this watch and another AIRMAN were purchased from the original owner who was a pilot....his exact note to me is below when he sold it to me. Also his actual picture is included in my pictures. Both watches will be posted for sale. The watch we are selling in this description is serial #323119. The leather shield he mentions is not included...it is rotted and has fallen apart. He says as follows:

"I bought these watches in 1976 and used them for about 10 years while flying over 4,000 hours in the C-130, T-41C and MC-130E with the USAF. Both run but the one without a watchband will not set. I am reluctant to pull on the stem. I seem to remember I had a problem with a stem before and had it repaired in St. Louis (Falcon I believe is their name). The one without a watchband is the one I used the most and it shows more wear. It reads GLYCINE AIRMAN on the face. The markings on the back are rubbed pretty smooth but you can read Pat 314050, 323.119 and a (serial number) 940866 on the back. The one with the watchband reads GLYCINE AIRMAN SPECIAL on the face and Pat 314050, 323.119 and a (serial number) 940921 on the back. It runs well and seems to function ok. As you can see from the pictures both have wear but are in good condition. I will include the generic metal watchband with leather shield which kept the sweat off the watch as pictured in the black and white photo of me from 1977"

We sell more vintage GLYCINE AIRMAN's than any dealer in the world, so you can be assured of all our GLYCINES being "correct". This is as complete and fine as one will ever find when seeking a GLYCINE AIRMAN pilots' watch!

Here is a Broad Arrow (British Military) CYMA TAVANNES military watches in one of the largest (original) stainless steel cases you will find, measuring a whopping 38.5mm! The dial; (unlike most we find) is all ORIGINAL, glossy black, CYMA, in gold gilt and TAVANNES in silver print with gold, reflective, Arabic, bold numerals and substantial sub-seconds register, all in near new condition! It is rare to find such a well preserved WW2 aviators watch such as this...especially having an all original dial! This circa 1939, 36.5x44mm. HELBROS AVIATORS watch is truly a feast for the eyes! The case is chrome plated, pristine with double hinged back, one signed HELBROS and the other with the serial number. The signed, HELBROS manual winding movement was just cleaned, overhauled and maintaining accurate time. You can't help but notice the original, extended onion winding crown; designed to be operated while the pilot is wearing gloves. The radium dial is completely original and as you can see, in very fine condition, as are the blued steel, radium "fancy" hands. The bezel rotates to set the triangular (inner) marker to mark timing positions. Also, the bezel is "double" top section "beaded", lower is coin edge. These watches are so hard to find...especially, so fine as this! You will love wearing it with your bomber jacket!

Look at this very uncommon 37mm. Jardur aviators chronograph. It is rarer to see a gold filled case in such pristine condition! The original dial is as clean as you will ever find! Most aren't aware, JARDUR watches are considered to be a “tool” watch.... designated only for pilots and marketed in EUROPE. Note the completely ORIGINAL, bold, black, vibrant red and white dial...perfect for high visibility on this sophisticated 24 hour dial! Note the scale for degrees. The 3,6,9 are located in the middle of the chronograph chapters and original radium hands. This rare example houses the VALJOUX 72. This movement was just disassembled and cleaned... all functioning perfectly. This movement is considered to be one of the finest EVER produced; and was used by the ROLEX DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN chronograph. This is a striking and all original pilots watch in very fine condition! We just can't pin down which air force actually commissioned them... some help would be appreciated! The 37mm. gold filled with stainless steel screw back (original) case is in very fine overall condition. A real stunning example! We often see the name of the case manufacturer "Pilgrim" etched out in the inside case back. This is actually documented in military watch reference books. We don't know why they did it, but half the Jardurs we've seen have it omitted. This particular JARDUR does not have the name etched out. We have been specializing and selling more JARDURS than any dealer in the world. They are EXTREMELY uncommon! We seek them out for you! $2695.

This vintage, all original and correct 1942 ROLEX AVIATORS watch named the "ROLEX SKYROCKET" was produced for Canadian soldiers going overseas in WW2 and was marketed towards fighter pilots. This particular example is the earliest and first version with sub-seconds, as opposed to sweep seconds. The original, sparkling 29.5mm. sterling silver case with original dust proof winding crown, stepped bezel, made by PIONEER case company for ROLEX is in glistening and stellar condition. We just had the case rhodium plated...gleaming like platinum...so, the silver will not tarnish over the years. Rolex rhodium plated (out of the factory) many of their sterling cases...it wears off over time... we completed an expensive and thick plating that should last a lifetime! The original and signed ROLEX caseback is stainless steel. This watch was worn in WW2 overseas, as confirmed from the original family from whom we obtained it. These watches were small in stature; so, please don't buy it if you don't want a smaller sized watch. They were made smaller do reduce the chance of damaging them while fighting. The original dial on this SKYROCKET has some usual ageing, lending to its' authenticity and vintage appeal. Notice the red, 24 hour register, original, radium, blued steel pencil hands and sub-seconds. The manual winding caliber 59 ROLEX movement (correctly signed ROLEX under the dial) is sparkling and keeping accurate time after a recent cleaning by our watchmaker. We have installed a 1940's suede band to complete the vintage look. We simply are not seeing these watches appear as of late. Most dials have been refinished, which greatly reduces their value. An original sub-seconds ROLEX SKYROCKET for only $1595!
