This particular example is from Roland's "signature edition" whereby he assembles vintage movements with newly designed cases, hands and dials. This watch measures 41x12mm. in stainless steel with a screw back and sapphire crystal. This watch is rated at 50m. for water resistance. Notice the onion winding crown, screwed pins between the lugs, two-tone dial sunken, subsidiary seconds at 9:00. The finely detailed 1930's movement is the original vintage HAMILTON caliber 917 pocket watch movement in pristine condition-accurate. The black alligator band has a flip-lock buckle. This RARE REVUE THOMMEN is the only recent mechanical ALTIMETER/BAROMETER watch available! When the winding crown is depressed, air pressure the case and an aneroid capsule reflects the barometer/ in hecto-Pascal, and the Altitude up to 4500 meters. To detect air pressure changes, align the bezel to 0 in the red scale with the orange hand pointing to zero, if the orange hand rises above zero indicating a lower pressure reading (on the inside scale of the dial), rain may be on the way! I keep one of these watches and use it for hiking. Also fun in an elevator! This watch was produced in only 1998 examples, with this being #38 as marked on the case year commemorating the Swiss Alps challenge in October 29 of the same year. The box, extra links and instruction manual is included. There is some tape at the hinge of the box-they seem to be prone to tearing there-(my other is the same). The sapphire crystal has an double sided anti-reflective coating for a clean, and easy dial visibility. The 40mm. case and bracelet are quite finely made, in solid TITANIUM with luxurious and detailed bracelet links. The hand winding peseux caliber 7001 17 jewel movement is keeping accurate time. The automatic winding, Jaquet Droz Caliber 6553.4 movement is based on the Frederic Piguet 1150, having 28 jewels and has two separate mainspring barrels for extra power reserve (72 hours). This movement is adjusted to 5 positions, cold and heat. The massive case is hand crafted in 18K white gold and measures 40.5 mm and is 12 mm. thick including the crystal. The snow-white, hand crafted enamel dial has a recessed inner circle, date chapter on the outer part of the dial, month and day of the week apertures in the upper part. The moonphase indicator is really quite unique, it allows the wearer to visually witness the phases of the moon in a retrograde fashion, with the pointer indicating the correct phase of the moon over a 29.5 day period. The movement is the oversized manual winding ETA UT6497-1 having soigné finish, and adjusted to four positions. luminous Arabic numerals, 12 hour, 30 minute and running seconds

watch is H U G E, measuring 40mm. across and 16mm. THICK!
The stainless steel screw back case features a crown guard
