Here is an all original and uncommon mid 1950's TUDOR OYSTER UNICORN. ROLEX registered and usedthe UNICORN name on some of their earliest watches produced and this is the first time I've found it used on a TUDOR. The word UNICORN is very lightly stamped on the original "small rose" black dial, having the desired 12, 3, 6, 9 Explorer type arrangement. and all exceptionally clear and crisp. The Manual winding TUDOR (by ROLEX) movement is highly reliable and accurate after a recent cleaning. The gold plated case with stainless steel OYSTER back is very clean after a recent case re-plate to restore the luster. The Dauphine hands are original and may have been re-lumed in the past-not certain. The original OYSTER winding crown screws down fine, with the print (commonly) worn away from age. You could not ask for a better looking original black dial vintage TUDOR-especially for only $895!
