This very uncommon ROLEX DATEJUST THUNDERBIRD with crisp thunderbird (14k. Solid white gold) bezel and winding crown is all original. This is an early ROLEX DATEJUST dating to the second quarter of 1958. Finding these watches with a solid white gold bezel is quite rare. Add to this, the original black dial is also quite uncommon; having both gold and silver gilt printing, with Dauphine hands, arrow markers and alternating (roulette) red and black date. The 6609 stainless steel ROLEX steel case is without major dings or scratches-not overpolished-it looks great. The automatic winding ROLEX movement is the caliber 1065 is certified chronometer, adjusted to six positions. We installed a black leather band. These earlier thunderbird Datejusts are becoming very hard to find in clean and original condition.
