is a rarity...a 1963 ROLEX AIR KING SUPER PRECISION! This
watch is very hard to find. in all original condition. This
correct case reference is 5500 and dating to the 4th. quarter
of 1963, having a 973xxx serial number. The stainless steel case measuring 34mm., glistens
without major dings or scratches. There has been more polishing on the case rear; but nothing to worry about or to detract from visual appeal. The original
ROLEX winding crown is pristine. This ultra rare EXPLORER STYLE 3, 6, 9 snow-white dial is completely original,
wonderful looking, having raised steel, baton markers, and Arabic, steel numerals. Notice the radium,
dauphine hands and steel sweep seconds. We love how
clean this dial is SO CLEAN...it is rare to find such a marvelous
looking dial. This dial appears to be new old
stock with the naked eye...WOW! We fully guarantee it to be absolutely ORIGINAL. The caliber 1520 movement
(just cleaned and overhauled)...25 jewel, is super reliable
and highly sought after! The look of these early Air Kings
is more streamlined than the later versions; with more dial
and narrower bezel, offering a true "vintage Rolex"
look. One last note: most SUPER PRESION air Kings
circulating on eBay are "made up" watches with refinished
(improper) dials, wrong movements etc. Many of these watches
are NOT correct. The ROLEX AIR-KING is very hot right now;
due to their understated visual appeal. This 3, 6, 9 dial is the rarest and most sought after. I would say this is the best condition I have ever seen 3, 6, 9 dial exhibit in over 22 years of collecting and dealing! A prize at $3750.
