Here is a very uncommon reference 5701, ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL AIR KING DATE PRECISION dating to 1965. These AIR KING DATES are the "hot ROLEX watch" at this time. This is an uncommon variety of AIR KING that was sold mainly in Canada and Commonwealth countries only. The date is the feature making it uncommon; as the regular and common AIR KINGS do not have the date. The 35mm. stainless steel case is pristine after a full and expensive overhaul by our watchmaker in 2007. This is a two-tone version; having the solid gold bezel and winding crown. The crystal is (new)...perfect...(scratch free) and the (new) ROLEX OYSTER winding crown screws down like silk! The gold dial is excellent; having raised, shimmering gold tone baton markers and matching hands. The authentic ROLEX lizard band and ROLEX buckle was just installed with receipt from ROLEX matching the serial number of this watch. The (automatic winding) caliber 1520 movement was just meticulously cleaned and overhauled by our ROLEX TRAINED and authorized watchmaker and is keeping excellent time. On the band and buckle receipt, ROLEX notes we did not want to clean the watch. As a result, they wrote that the watch is not waterproof. This is commonly what they do if you don't fully service with THEM. Our ROLEX TRAINED watchmaker replaced the seal, crown plus crystal; so, likely it is waterproof. We do not recommend swimming with vintage watches. Have a water test done at a watchmaker if you wish to do so. Please note: we are also including an original green ROLEX service box with this watch.
