Look at this very uncommon 37mm. Jardur aviators chronograph. It is rarer to see a gold filled case in such pristine condition! The original dial is as clean as you will ever find! Most aren't aware, JARDUR watches are considered to be a “tool” watch.... designated only for pilots and marketed in EUROPE. Note the completely ORIGINAL, bold, black, vibrant red and white dial...perfect for high visibility on this sophisticated 24 hour dial! Note the scale for degrees. The 3,6,9 are located in the middle of the chronograph chapters and original radium hands.This rare example houses the VALJOUX 72. This movement was just disassembled and cleaned... all functioning perfectly. This movement is considered to be one of the finest EVER produced; and was used by the ROLEX DAYTONA PAUL NEWMAN chronograph. This is a striking and all original pilots watch in very fine condition! We just can't pin down which air force actually commissioned them... some help would be appreciated! The 37mm. gold filled with stainless steel screw back (original) case is in very fine overall condition. A real stunning example! We often see the name of the case manufacturer "Pilgrim" etched out in the inside case back. This is actually documented in military watch reference books. We don't know why they did it, but half the Jardurs we've seen have it omitted. This particular JARDUR does not have the name etched out.
