This is as rare as you can get in the vintage GRUEN line of watches! This art Deco, gold filled all original GRUEN CURVEX flexible lug drivers' watch is the pinnacle watch for the GRUEN collector. Only the GRUEN DOCTOR's watch rivals it in price; but is MORE common to find. The original case; measuring 21x49.2mm. (lugs extended) has not been polished. Only in the pictures can one see the "brassing". There is the usual wear through on the high points on the case rear; which is quite normal for a vintage gold filled watch. With the naked eye, the case looks fabulous and without wear. These lugs flex; allowing the user to wear the watch on the side of the wrist while allowing for easy readability while driving. This watch (luckily) has the rarer black dial instead of the usual silver; all original, with BREGUET style numerals and sub-seconds register. The original GRUEN CURVEX manual winding movement was just cleaned, overhauled and is accurate. You can search the entire internet and email dealers all day... we don't know of another for sale anywhere else! Only $1750 for an important, rare and original piece of GRUEN history!
