This is a 2007 GERMAN MADE BENZINGER UNITAS SKELETON hand detailed masterpiece in stainless steel measuring a hefty 42x51.5x10.75mm. thick. This rare and handcrafted watch is based on the 44 hour power reserve UNITAS 6498 movement and has been modified by JOCHEN BENZINGER, whose tool collection rivals any museum in terms of using period carving devices., many of which are over 100 years old. JOCHEN is a self taught in the art of guilloché and a master carver. To simplify how great he really is-the house of Fabergé retains him as the master carver of the renowned Fabergé eggs. This watch was produced in his workshop in Dätzingen Castle, which dates to the year 1283; further adding to the mystique of these creations. The skelotonizing and guilloché carving will leave all those who gaze upon this watch "amazed". There is NO dial on this watch-the front side of the movement is all hand decorated by Jochen. The hands are BREGUET style, blued steel. The crystal is sapphire on both sides. The strap is hand sewn alligator and is fastened with a double folding stainless steel clasp. JOCHEN produced a VERY limited number of this particular watch. This watch should be considered essentially "unused", with all boxes and hand written note by JOCHEN BENZINGER himself.
