This is a competitive sailor's watch known as the HEUER REGATE or "REGATTA" chronograph wwhich provided the user with a count-down timer for a departure of their yacht within 5 minutes. The disc is turning by the second, each disk representing one out of five minutes. In this case, the dial indicates that there are approximatively 2 minutes 25 seconds to go before the boat should cross the starting line. The 37.5mm. screw back case is in very fine shape. The rotor, automatic winding movement is accurate. Often, we see refinished dials on these watches. This dial is original and very fine. The winding crown is original and signed.
